ヘルシンキの空港でマッキーと別れ、寺嶋さんと2人でイタリアフィレンツェにやってきました。
5月にシャルジャーで共演したFlorence Pops Orchestraとのコンサートに向けてやってきたのですが、残念なことにちょうどコンサートの日にイタリア全土のストライキが行われることになってしまい、ホールが使用できなくなり、コンサートは中止に・・・😢
それでも私の二胡コンサートは予定通り行われるので、それを目標にやってまいりました。
After parting ways with Maki at Helsinki Airport, Ms. Terashima and I arrived in Florence, Italy.
We came for a concert with the Florence Pops Orchestra, whom I performed with in Sharjah back in May. Unfortunately, a nationwide strike in Italy coincided with the concert date, rendering the hall unusable and forcing the concert's cancellation...😢
Still, my erhu concert is proceeding as planned, so I came looking forward to that.
ローマ空港から車でフィレンツェへ移動。オケのLaulaとIvanが片道3時間かけて車で迎えにきてくれました。
フィレンツェに到着すると指揮者で作曲家のCarloさんが待っていてくれて早速一緒に美味しいイタリアンをいただきました。到着したのは22:30くらいになっていました。
ドーナツみたいなもちもちしたパンととろけるチーズをつけて食べるのがとてもおいしかった！
We drove from Rome Airport to Florence. Laula and Ivan from the orchestra drove three hours one way to pick us up.
When we arrived in Florence, conductor and composer Carlo was waiting for us. We enjoyed delicious Italian food together straight away. It was around 10:30 PM by the time we arrived.
The doughnut-like, chewy bread with melted cheese was absolutely delicious!
イタリアはカフェ文化が盛ん。
私はこれまでエスプレッソを飲んだことがなかったのですが、初めて飲むならイタリアで！と思っていました。
もっと濃くて苦いかな・・・と思っていたけど、そんなことはなくて、凝縮されたコーヒーの香りと風味がとてもおいしかった！
小さいケーキもついつい食べちゃいますね。
ティラミスはやはり本場！美味しいです。
Italy has a thriving café culture.
I'd never had espresso before, but I always thought, “If I'm going to try it for the first time, it has to be in Italy!”
I imagined it would be stronger and more bitter... but it wasn't like that at all! The rich aroma and flavor of the concentrated coffee were absolutely delicious!
I just can't resist having a little cake too.
Tiramisu is truly best in its homeland! It's delicious.
12月なので、クリスマスマーケットもやっていました。
フィンランドでも行ったけど、国が違うと雰囲気も変わりますね。
ホットワインと、甘栗のような焼き立ての、甘い胡桃をつまんだら、ホクホクで美味しくて体も温まりました。
フィレンツェの街はどこも美しくて、歩いているだけでも楽しいです。
そして夜はまたまた美味しいイタリアン。
カルボナーラとピザを食べました。カルボナーラ、濃厚でおいしかったなぁ！
Since it was December, the Christmas market was also open.
I'd been to one in Finland too, but the atmosphere changes when you're in a different country.
I sipped hot wine and snacked on freshly roasted sweet walnuts, like candied chestnuts. They were warm and delicious, warming my body right up.
Every corner of Florence is beautiful; just walking around is a joy.
And in the evening, yet another delicious Italian meal.
We had carbonara and pizza. The carbonara was rich and so good!
