初めてのイタリア公演！
Centro Arte Vito Frazzi様の主催で実現しました。
Florence Pops Orchestra のソリストたちとの演奏。
イタリアの作曲家E. MorriconeのNuovo Cinema Paradiso、N. RotaのRomeo e Giuliettaも演奏し、Carlo Chiarotti さんのHello Maggieのテーマ、寺嶋民哉さんのゲド戦記より旅路、坂本龍一さんのラストエンペラーのテーマ、そして私のオリジナル曲などを演奏しました。

My first performance in Italy!
Organized by Centro Arte Vito Frazzi.
I performed with the soloists of the Florence Pops Orchestra.
We played Italian composer E. Morricone's Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, N. Rota's Romeo e Giulietta, the theme from Carlo Chiarotti's Hello Maggie, “Journey” from Tales from Earthsea by Tamiya Terashima, the theme from The Last Emperor by Ryuichi Sakamoto, and some of my original compositions.
前日の数時間のリハーサルのみだったのですが、テンポ感の変わる曲も多く、私のリードだけだとなかなか難しいか・・・と思っていたところ、オケメンバーのリクエストもあって急遽寺嶋さんが指揮をしてくださることになりました。
少ない編成ではあったものの、指揮があるとみんな安心して演奏できると喜んでいました。

初めて二胡を聴く方がほとんどで、みなさんじっくりと聴いてくださり、終演後にも嬉しい感想をたくさんいただき、大成功でした。
関わってくださった全ての方に感謝しています！
来年またイタリアで演奏できますように！！

We only had a few hours of rehearsal the day before, and with many pieces having shifting tempos, I was worried it might be quite difficult just with my lead... but then, at the orchestra members' request, Mr. Terashima stepped in to conduct at the last minute.
Although it was a small ensemble, everyone was happy to play with a conductor, feeling more at ease.

Most people were hearing the erhu for the first time. Everyone listened intently, and after the performance, we received so many wonderful comments—it was a huge success.
I'm so grateful to everyone involved!
Here's hoping we can play in Italy again next year!!
